What to buy for your new puppy before it arrives
When you get a new dog, there are a lot of things to buy. Some of these things may seem obvious, like buying the right toy for your dog. That’s why I’ve put together a list of what to buy when you get a golden retriever (or any dog). While this is helpful information for anyone looking to buy a dog, it’s especially useful if you already have one because you’ll know exactly what needs to be addressed!
Here is the list:
Dog blankets: keep your puppy warm if it get too cool.
– A dog bed: If you don’t want your dog sleeping on the floor, then it is a must-have.
– A harness and leash: A leash is not only for walking your dog, but it also protects them from getting lost or escaping. Harnesses distribute the weight more evenly across the chest instead of putting pressure on one spot like leashes do. They also protect against injuries caused by jerking or pulling the animal when they try to run away.
– An ID tag: This should be put on before leaving home and can be used as a form of identification if they get lost.
– Bowls: Simple enough. They need bowls for water and food.
– Pads: Your puppy is not yet potty trained. Sometimes accident happen. These pads will keep your house clean
– Cage: A safe place for your puppy to go back to and call home.
